There is nothing more exciting in the world of fashion than the busy glamorous fashion weeks. And at New York Fashion Week, Carolina Herrera brought a whole new level of summery elegant silhouettes and classy, cosmopolitan women’s.
The Spring 2014 collection is inspired by the Kinetic Art movement and Venezuelan artists Carlos Cruz-Diez and Jesus Rafael Soto; mixing optical effects and geometric motifs with a range of fabrics from organza to chiffon and voile, with touches of jeweled embellishments and appliques.
The show was an array of black and white patterns, merged with prints in crimson or sienna, and soft tones like tea green, porcelain.
For the end of the show, the designer sent on the stage a series of mystical gowns - one with a veiled feathered crop top, and another like an upscale shirt dress rendered in organza which buttoned all the way up and ballooned out.
