M&S rolls out another fabulous collection under the fashion direction of Belinda Earl. The new Spring/Summer 2014 collection covers most of the trends forecast for next season: white combos, paintbox prints, 90s inspired garments and pretty in pink items.
"It was reported somewhere that we only produced a certain number of our autumn/winter pink coat to increase demand - and it grew into a sort of myth, but that definitely wasn't our strategy," Belinda Earl told Vogue. "Of course there is a fine line between supply and demand and we don't want to show customers rail upon rail of the same product. Could we have made more and sold more in this case? Yes - but we are on a journey and learning as we go. We're going to read the reaction of the press to the collection today and produce the product accordingly."
