AFTER a fruitful collaboration with Rihanna , MAC is preparing another huge collaboration with Brooke Shields. The new collection will focus on wearable nudes and natural-looking peach, pink and cherry shades reflecting both her own beauty history and the industry's current mood.
"Brooke resonates globally, and she keeps reinventing herself. She's an ageless beauty," said James Gager, MAC's senior vice president and creative director. "She's also a mom, an actress, a model with everything happening all at once, like most modern women."
"I went through all of my make-up, opened it all up, looked at it all and started to decide what of each product I loved - whether it was from MAC or some obscure brand I got on a shoot in Japan," Shields told WWD. "I'm so used to having my make-up done by someone else - this was really my first time to delve in personally, rather than it being a mask that's put on for a certain photo shoot. I loved being a part of the process and having my taste incorporated into it."
The will have plenty of products to choose from: brow kits and liners, as well as a 16-piece eyeshadow palette, incorporating a wide array of nudes, beiges and greys as well as sheer metallic and purple tones.
The Brooke Shields for MAC collection will be available from October, with prices starting at £12.
